Have you previously developed a fashion business online? If you did, did you have a horrible time trying to find a website address? It is sort of like trying to select an e-mail address on AOL, Gmail, or Yahoo. Because they have been around so long, all of the good names are taken.
In the past, selecting a business name was challenging enough. Now, when picking a name, the dot com availability issues comes into play. In my opinion, if you develop a business name you will want a domain name (website address / url) to match.
Over the years, I have developed several fashion websites. Years ago, it was hard to find a domain name that I wanted. But now it is even harder. Every time I look for a domain name, it appears that it is already taken. Fortunately for me, I have been buying several over the years, so I have a good inventory of fashion website names. However, on the other hand, the cost adds up when holding onto all these names.
Anyway, the point of this blog is that if you are planning to develop a fashion business. You may want to look for a domain name to make sure it is available before you make your final decision on your company name.
By the way, below are some of my domain names. Most I am keeping, but some are for sale.
