K-Way Fashion Boutique in Soho

Known as the world’s signature anorak, the iconic K-Way has officially hit the U.S. with the launch of its first state-side store in the heart of Soho, New York City.  The brand’s stand alone store opened its doors last week at 424 West Broadway (between Spring Street and Prince) with 1,300 square feet and a clean, simple aesthetic to resemble its flagship store in Torino, Italy.  Three pronged stripes line the side wall mirroring the brand’s belts and signature navy, orange and yellow color code seen throughout the collection.  Near the back, two clear chairs hang from the ceiling exuding a modern vibe in the retail space while symbolizing the limitless possibilities to come for the brand’s positive fate ahead in America.

Best known for lightweight outerwear, K-Way’s premium rainwear doubles as both a rain jacket and as a padded windbreaker offering a traditional yet functional style for every walk-in customer. The store is fully stocked with “K-Way Klassics” including their signature nylon men’s Claude and women’s Claudette jackets available in solid colors, textures, and reversible fabrics, which fold into their own handy pouches making life easy for jetsetters on the go. The colors array in a palette of hues including yellow, navy, red, white, grey, royal blue, black, amber, pink, and magenta to name a few with an additional heathered grey and navy shade plus an argil option to confuse your decision making even more. One of K-Way’s latest developments is the Claude Cotton Reversible jacket, which offers a nylon ribstop waterproof exterior with a cozy fleece interior to ensure the perfect combo piece to brave winter’s worst. The Soho store doesn’t stop at “K-Way Klassics”; it offers the full K-Way line of various jacket silhouettes, as well as an assortment of unisex pants, hats, and a collection for kids (prices ranging $45-$1,000).

Datatex Fiber to Garment Planning Modules

2012 is turning out to be a very interesting year for Datatex on all fronts, marketing, sales, brand recognition, product development and foremost importance customer implementation success stories.

They have SEL in India who went live after less than 5 months of implementation, two customers in China who have successfully implemented and are reaping business benefits from NOW, Autumn Cashmere and Carpi , and additional success cases in Atlantic Mills, Thailand, Baldhev in India.

Datatex is proud of its first fully vertical (FIBER TO GARMENT) customer who has implemented their complete suite of advanced planning modules, a detailed case study will be published soon. REEM ACRA FEI WORLD CUP DRESSAGE TITLE SPONSORSHIP EXTENDED TO 2016

The FEI is delighted to announce that Reem Acra, the internationally renowned fashion designer, has signed a new contract extending her title sponsorship of the FEI World Cup™ Dressage Western European League and Final for a further three-year cycle until 2016.

Zojja Uniquely You offers one-of-a-kind bohemian and gypsy handbags and accessories.  Our philosophy is that everyone has their own unique style and they should be proud to express it with bags and accessories.

Zojja was founded by a twist of fate.  My mother saw that I was making scarves and wanted me to make more so that my sister could bring them to her workplace in New York to sell for the Christmas holidays.  On a whim, I decided to make a couple of bags and add them to the package that was being shipped off to New York.  Shortly thereafter, I was being asked to make bags for relatives and friends which then evolved into a business venture and the beginning of Zojja Uniquely You.

I believe in letting fabrics talk to me to decide what fabrics like to be paired with each other and for the style of bag.  It’s a fun process where I don’t get much say in the matter.  The primary fabrics that I work with are chenille and velvet upholstery fabric. There are many beautiful designs available and they tend to be more durable for everyday use.  I get my fabrics from all over the world to broaden my selection of styles and designs.  For the lining, I prefer to work with silk dupioni or damask which adds a touch of elegance to the bags.

I do custom made bags on request.  I enjoy the process of teaming up with the customer to make the bag of their dreams.  Currently, one third of the bags I make are custom made.

Our bags appeal to a large audience of women because they are unique and one-of-a-kind and the customers love that!
